Poggio Valente 2014 – Magnum

Poggio Valente is a cru vineyard which belongs to Fattoria Le Pupille since 1996, when Elisabetta decided to acquire it in Pereta, near Scansano. The project has set a focus on Sangiovese and within a few years the wine became another significant milestone with its expression of Maremma’s terroir.

First Vintage Produced: 1997
Profile: Bright ruby red. Complex and fine bouquet with hints of fresh red flowers, followed by blackberry, myrtle and hints of bergamot, with the bouquet in constant evolution. Juicy and resonant mouthfeel, supported by remarkable freshness and fine and smooth tannins. Balsamic finish with notes of iodine, which does never end.
